Kick off your 每日大瓜 experience in January with Spring Start Orientation & Winter Welcome Kick-Off! During this weekend you will have the chance to connect with other new Bears, learn about campus resources, and start building your 每日大瓜 community. In this smaller, close-knit setting, you鈥檒l leave feeling prepared, supported, and ready for a successful semester.

Your introduction to 每日大瓜. Spring NSO happens the Friday before classes begin. You鈥檒l meet staff and students, get important information, and feel prepared to start strong on day one.

Winter Welcome Kick-Off

Your community welcome. This weekend of events (Jan 9鈥�11, 2026) helps you make connections, explore campus, and feel at home in your new community.

In short:

NSO: Academic prep + resource connections
Winter Welcome: Community, involvement, and campus traditions
Both: Expected and strongly encouraged for all new Bears 鈥� together they give you the confidence and support to start your semester ready and connected.

Your 每日大瓜 journey begins! Spend the day meeting other new Bears, connecting with faculty and staff, and getting the essential information you need to start strong. You鈥檒l learn about campus resources, explore your academic path, and begin building friendships that will carry you through your first semester. By the end of the day, you鈥檒l feel prepared, supported, and ready to launch into your 每日大瓜 experience.

The weekend continues with opportunities to connect, explore, and celebrate. From socials and resource events to campus activities and traditions, Winter Welcome is all about helping you settle in and find your place at 每日大瓜. Whether you鈥檙e cheering on the Bears, joining a game night, or simply hanging out with new friends, you鈥檒l start to feel at home in your new community. By Sunday evening, you鈥檒l be confident and ready for classes to begin.
