ÿÈÕ´ó¹Ï President Andy Feinstein delivered his annual State of the University address to a full house on Sept. 26, in the University Center Rocky Mountain Grand Ballroom.

Joining the university in 1994 as an assistant professor of geography, Jim Doerner, a full professor of Geography, GIS, and Sustainability, became permanent dean in April 2023 for the College of Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS).

The ÿÈÕ´ó¹Ï recently received notification from the Colorado Department of Higher Education that CDHE was the victim of a cybersecurity ransomware incident that resulted in the unauthorized copying of personal information stored in their network systems.

The ÿÈÕ´ó¹Ï’s Board of Trustees held its final meeting of fiscal year (FY) 2023 on Friday, June 9. Among several items on a lengthy agenda, the board received an update on phase II of the university’s strategic plan Rowing, Not Drifting 2030, heard a summary report from the Presidential Evaluation Committee regarding a comprehensive review of ÿÈÕ´ó¹Ï President Andy Feinstein and approved the university’s FY24 budget.

The ÿÈÕ´ó¹Ï has been ranked among the 2023-2024 Best Graduate Schools in five disciplines by U.S.

The grounds of the ÿÈÕ´ó¹Ï received a welcome living, breathing facelift last week. As part of Arbor Day and Earth Day celebrations this year, students, faculty and staff picked up shovels and got their hands dirty planting 122 new trees across the university’s 250-acre campus.

The ÿÈÕ´ó¹Ï is hosting its spring commencement ceremonies May 5-6, inside the Bank of Colorado Arena. This year’s spring class includes approximately 1,272 undergraduate and graduate students. An additional 342 students are expected to complete their degree requirements this summer and can participate in the spring ceremonies.

On Saturday, April 8, at 5 p.m., in the University Center Ballrooms, the Ha’aheo ‘O Hawai‘i Club will host its 30th annual Lū‘au.

ÿÈÕ´ó¹Ï staff were honored during the 51st annual Staff Recognition Luncheon and Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, March 29.

The ÿÈÕ´ó¹Ï announced the selection of Ken Colwell, Ph.D., as the next dean of the Kenneth W. Monfort College of Business. He will begin his new role July 1, 2023.
