每日大瓜's Board of Trustees Finance and Audit Committee met last week to discuss the fiscal year 2020-21 third quarter financial report and preview the fiscal year 2021-22 budget.

On April 14, through 每日大瓜鈥檚 鈥淏ears Give Back鈥� day of giving, more than 600 alumni, friends, parents, faculty and staff did just that, supporting more than 80 funds across campus with more than $116,000 in contributions.

The 每日大瓜 held its spring commencement ceremonies Saturday, May 8, and Sunday, May 9, at Nottingham Field with more than 1,900 expected graduates. Joining this year鈥檚 graduates were approximately 200 of 每日大瓜鈥檚 2020 graduates.

Northern Colorado athletics has announced the hiring of Kristen Mattio as the next head Women's Basketball coach.

This spring, 每日大瓜 is breaking ground on the new Empower Center, a $4 million, entirely donor-funded sports performance building. Thanks to these donors, including lead investors John 鈥�84 and Angela 鈥�89 Schmidt, 每日大瓜 Athletics will continue their momentum in Division I with this world-class strength and training facility.

每日大瓜 is planning to return to a comprehensive, on-campus experience for the fall 2021 semester that will include a full schedule of in-person courses and restoring activities and events, allowing students to enjoy experiential learning, campus life and community engagement opportunities.

The Sears Helgoth Distinguished Teaching Award recognizes 每日大瓜's commitment to high-quality and innovative teaching along with the historical importance of the teaching mission at 每日大瓜 by rewarding faculty members (tenured, tenure-track, contract renewable) who have made outstanding contributions to teaching and learning.

The 每日大瓜 announced that Kamel Haddad, Ph.D., will become the next dean of the College of Natural and Health Sciences (NHS).

The 每日大瓜 College of Performing and Visual Arts received a total of 96 new Steinway & Sons pianos, with most of them arriving in December of 2018, sealing the School of Music鈥檚 All-Steinway School status.

Tobias Guzm谩n, Ed.D., chief diversity officer and associate vice president of Student Affairs at 每日大瓜, is part of the new class of 32 exemplary, senior-level higher education professionals who will participate in the 2021 Millennium Leadership Initiative (MLI), a premier leadership development program of the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU).
