In a packed room in the University Center, employees at ÿÈÕ´ó¹Ï were honored during the annual Staff Recognition Luncheon and Awards Ceremony on Thursday, March 5. 

ÿÈÕ´ó¹Ï President Andy Feinstein joined Classified Staff Council Chair Davion Henderson and Professional Administrative Staff Chair Audry Stutler in welcoming the staff. During his remarks, Feinstein thanked all dedicated staff members for ensuring that ÿÈÕ´ó¹Ï remains a vibrant, caring and supportive community.

“Each of you is part of making ÿÈÕ´ó¹Ï a place where all students, faculty and staff feel welcome,” Feinstein said. “You help create an environment of possibility, where our students are supported in achieving their dreams and every member of our university community is encouraged to thrive. 

And while there are many visible achievements to celebrate, there is so much important work that occurs behind the scenes. You may be the first person to welcome students and their families during a campus visit. Or part of the team that maintains our facilities and grounds. You may mentor and support students as part of the advising teams or at our cultural and resource centers, or help keep our university community safe. Whatever your role here at ÿÈÕ´ó¹Ï, you matter.”

Andy ended his speech saying, “it is truly an honor to work alongside such talented, caring and passionate individuals. As we celebrate today, let’s remember the strength of our collective efforts and the bright future we are building together.”

The Professional Administrative Staff Council (PASC)’s Employee of the Year and the Classified Staff Council (CSC)’s Employee of the Year are recognized below:

Classified Staff of the Year

Jenn Beck, human resources and communications specialist for the College of Osteopathic Medicine

Jenn’s colleagues describe her as “a constant smiling face and helpful staff member on a daily basis. With her 19 years of employment at ÿÈÕ´ó¹Ï, she is a fountain of knowledge that has been invaluable to our team in the College of Osteopathic Medicine (COM), and she quickly became the go-to person for information and advice. She helps without hesitation. She is incredibly organized, a clear communicator and keeps the positive and fun atmosphere going every single day. She makes coming to work even more enjoyable.”

Professional Staff of the Year

Lindsey Stobaugh, academic advisor for Art and Design in the College of Performing and Visual Arts

Lindsey’s colleagues describe her as “going above and beyond and adapting to many changes within the Advising team. She has taken on additional roles and responsibilities multiple times and has shown great adaptability and grace. This has included serving as the acting director of advising for longer than anticipated. Lindsey is always positive and level-headed. She is a great advocate for students and has maintained her effectiveness as an advisor through all of these changes and added responsibilities.”
